70cl / 49.2% / Gordon & MacPhail - A 1979 Imperial single malt from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail that was matured in a single refill hogshead for 42 years, before being bottled in December 2021 as part of its Private Collection. Aromas of honeycomb, vanilla custard, beeswax, cocoa powder, pecans and baked apple fill the nose, complemented by notes of red apples, clove-studded orange, malted biscuits, chocolate-covered hazelnuts and Seville orange throughout the palate.
