K. F. Groebe's 2022 Westhofener Riesling Premier Cru dry is a distinguished, high-quality Riesling Premier Cru. This elegant dry white wine has hints of exotic fruit and a distinct minerality. The wine is a blend of grapes from two Grosses Gewächs vineyards: Aulerde, with its loess loam soil, and Kirchspiel, with its loam soil. The sloping vineyards are sheltered by the surrounding plateau, and the clayey soil is rich in loess loam, while the deeper soil is dominated by limestone rocks. The wine is absolutely dancing, with a pirouette of white flowers, white peach, satsuma, and mountain-stream pebbles. It has thrilling intensity of peachy purity at its core, and lacy, precisely cut snowflake acidity etching the edges.
