ABOUT THE WINE. Founded by Antonin in the 1960s and now run by the second generation, this Savigny-les-Beaune domaine farms parcels across the Côte d’Or, including select Premier and Grand Cru sites. Hand-harvested fruit is sorted in the vineyard; élevage is classical with no more than 50% new oak, yielding wines of freshness and purity. 2018 in Burgundy was a warm, generous vintage producing ripe, healthy grapes with excellent natural balance—ideal for supple, fragrant reds.. TASTING NOTES. Translucent ruby. Bright cherry and wild raspberry lead, with hints of violet, cranberry and subtle baking spice. The palate is silky and finely structured, showing chalky minerality and polished, fine-grained tannins. Ripe but poised, the finish is long, precise and elegant.. FOOD PAIRING.
