MADIRAN RED DRY

Picking up a whopping 93 points in a review by Wine Enthusiast, this full-bodied red, made from a blend of Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon, has intense aromas of dried fig, tobacco, and blackcurrant. On the palate, it has prominent but rounded tannins with an enticing savoury character and a long, lingering finish. It spent between 11 and 14 months maturing in French oak, around 30% of which was new, which helped soften the high tannin and impart flavours of vanilla.
