A note of caramelisation and sour cream. The wine is very tangy, persistent and muscly with a burnish. Bitter orange. It's an interesting and different Riesling, with notes behind the notes. It has a broad, more complex character than many of its contemporaries. It's solid and a Riesling you could quite possibly pair with lamb. The aromas of the Roseneck Riesling Grand Cru are elegant, with scents reminiscent of the roses surrounding the vineyard, as well as hints of passion fruit, pineapple and peachy notes. The fruitiness of the fragrance is also present in the taste. The wine is very smooth, mineralic and has a well-balanced harmony that invites further tasting.
