Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant but best to open it half an hour before service. Located in Lozovik in central Serbia, Temet Winery produces high-quality wines from organically grown indigenous and international grapes on the estate's approximately 38 hectares of vineyards, located on the hills of the Sumadija wine region, not far from Belgrade. The name Temet, which means 'powerful wine', is a reference to Roman times, when the vine arrived in this part of Europe. Ergo White is a blend of mostly Chardonnay with the addition of Morava, an indigenous grape of the Balkans. After a careful selection of the grapes and a short maceration, fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature for about 10 days and then completed in barrel. The finished wine rests first in oak barrels for 10 months and finally in the bottle for a year. In the glass, the wine reveals a clear and bright straw yellow color. Its aromatic profile is fresh and broad with notes of apple and pear, citrus and white flowers, and light hints of honey. On the palate, it is juicy and lively with a good structure and a marked acidic and refreshing vein. The finish is long with pleasant floral notes. Excellent as an aperitif, with light appetizers based on vegetables and fish, or with salads.
