Château Pédesclaux 2015, Pauillac

Château Pédesclaux is a prestigious wine estate located in Pauillac in Bordeaux. The estate was founded in 1810, but despite its early promise the château passed through many hands to get to where it is today. Finally, in 2009, Château Pédesclaux experienced a major revival, when it was acquired by Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti. A blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, and just 6% Petit Verdot, this rich and powerful wine is one to savour. Expect flavours of blackcurrant, bramble fruits, violet, and cedar, with sweet spices including cinnamon and cardamon. The silky tannins and structure pair perfectly with mushroom risotto or even a chocolate fondant!
