This Wisselbrunnen Kabinett impresses with its delicate finesse, touch of spiciness and rich fruity flavours of peach and apricot. It has a wonderful harmony between acidity and sweetness, which gives this wine its long finish. The distinct mineral character of this Riesling Kabinett is complex, and mirrors the terroir of this single Grand Cru vineyard. Situated halfway between Erbach and Hattenheim, the Wisselbrunnen site is called 'Fistula', which means 'pipe'. The 18-hectare site has predominantly a light, tertiary marl soil, with deep layers of loess throughout guaranteeing an exceptional water balance.
