Product Description

This 75cl Bassermann-Jordan 2022 Jesuitengarten Riesling Grand Cru dry is a wine from the Palatinate region. It's situated on the outskirts of Forst, in the direct vicinity of Kirchenstück and Ungeheuer, and is one of the best vineyards due to its mineral content. The site is famous for its fine and elegant wines with high complexity. The name goes back to the possessions of the former Jesuit monastery of Neustadt. In 1792 the Jordan family bought the vineyard. The parcel, which is located in the original part of the Jesuitengarten, was selectively harvested to obtain only perfectly ripened grapes. These were gently pressed and vinified separately, with 50% of the grapes vinified in traditional oak and the rest in a different method. The result is a wine that tastes like green apricots dipped in brine, with something a little formidable but also top notes of white flowers. It's long, reverberating, mouth-watering and has incredible concentration. Tasted by Tamlyn Currin, wine writer for Jancis Robinson, it received 17.5/20. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
