Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant but best to open it half an hour before service. Founded in 1824 and acquired in 2004 by Thibaut Marion, Domaine Seguin-Manuel is located in Beaune, in the prestigious Burgundy wine region. The estate covers approximately 8.5 hectares of vineyards, certified organic since 2015. The production brings together a wide range of white and red wines from various appellations, thanks to Marion's work to acquire new vineyards and expand the business. The Pinot Noir grapes are sourced from three plots located in Savigny-lès-Beaune, with vines over fifty years old planted on clay-limestone soils, with sand, stones, and small pebbles. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in wooden vats, and the finished wine then ages for a year in oak barrels before bottling. In the glass, the wine reveals a bright, intense ruby color and a broad aromatic profile with fragrant notes of red fruit and currant followed by hints of licorice. On the palate, it is soft and generous, fruity and silky, with fine, ripe tannins and a long finish that recalls delicate spicy notes. It is the ideal wine with magret de canard, coq au vin, or a mildly spicy beef stew.
