Mercurey Clos La Perrière, Château de Chamilly 2020 is an elegant wine with aromas of plum, cassis and earth. The exceptionally rich, powerful flavours have a velvety texture with complex and long finish. This wine has a fantastic ruby hue colour, packed with blackberry and raspberry fragrances, and well-structured fruity aromas with liquorice notes and silky tannins. The vines are 35 years old on average and are planted on subsoil made up of clay, sand and alluvial gravel. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected, with fermentation completed in open top tanks and 100% malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels (15% new).
