Having acquired vineyards in Westhofen in Rheinhessen, the company was formed to sell its own wines, as well as various prestigious estates in other regions. In 1937, Hans Siegel, the founder's son, formed Walter S. Siegel Ltd in London in partnership with England Test Cricketer Ian Peebles. Through this company, they imported wines from Germany and France. This medium-bodied Riesling, named in tribute to the Siegel name, offers lovely flavors of peach and stone, with a hint of apricot.
