Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant. Currently managed by Thibaut Marion, who took over in 2004, Domaine Seguin-Manuel was founded in 1824 in the Côte de Beaune. Marion comes from a family of 10 generations of winemakers and worked for years in the family business before embarking on this new project. Since 2004, he has acquired new vineyards, converted to organic farming, and expanded his product range. The Chardonnay grapes come from a plot located in the center of the Meursault appellation, on the highest slopes. Here, the organically farmed vines enjoy eastern exposure and grow in clay-limestone soils, with yellow marl and pebbles. Harvesting is done by hand, and after pressing, fermentation takes place in oak barrels. Meursault Les Clous is an expressive and structured wine that reveals an elegant character representative of its terroir. Its color takes on pale golden hues. Its aromatic profile displays a perfect balance between fruity and woody aromas. On the palate, it is generous, fresh, and juicy. It has a soft texture and a pronounced acidity. The finish is long and pleasantly mineral. It is an ideal wine with roasted fish, but also pairs very well with some vegetarian dishes, such as asparagus in hollandaise sauce, and with poultry.
