Nestled in the rolling hills of Piedmont, the family estate of Cantine Volpi has been making wine for more than a century and today owns 20 hectares. Barbera is a juicy, food-friendly Italian red and is often meant to be enjoyed young. It spends just four months ageing in stainless steel before bottling, preserving those wonderful fresh fruit aromas. Fruity and medium bodied, expect cherries, raspberries, violets, and lively acidity. Enjoy with tomato-based pasta, grilled meats, and aged cheeses.
