Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. Domaine de la Rochette is situated in Milly-Lamartine, within the Mâconnais region. Since 2016, it has been part of Maison Joseph Burrier, alongside Château de Beauregard, Domaine Georges Burrier in Fuissé, Château du Clos in Pouilly, and Domaine Joseph Burrier in Fleurie. The estate covers approximately 8 hectares of vineyards spread across the Montagne de Cra. The Mâcon Milly-Lamartine Montagne de Cra is made with Chardonnay grapes from vineyards located approximately 400 meters above sea level and cultivated without herbicides or insecticides. Here, the vines benefit from a high-altitude terroir composed of lean, stony, and shallow limestone, capable of producing wines of excellent quality. After harvesting and slow vinification in 35-liter barrels, the finished wine ages for approximately 10 months on the lees before bottling. The result is an elegant and pure wine with a brilliant straw-yellow color and a broad, fragrant aromatic profile. On the nose, this elegant white Burgundy reveals notes of citrus and pear, floral hints of acacia blossom, and a mineral, saline undertone. On the palate, it is lively, fresh, and well-balanced, with a rounded texture and a well-integrated acidity. It is taut and juicy, with a long finish that evokes saline and citrus notes. It pairs beautifully with sushi, grilled white fish, and fish carpaccio.
