Chateau La Sable Rouge, Luberon, Provence is a red wine from the United Kingdom. Made from Syrah 60% and Grenache 40%, this wine is produced using a traditional method. The grapes are hand-harvested in small 20kg cases and undergo selective sorting. Alcoholic fermentation takes place for about 3 weeks, with alternating daily plunging and pumping over to allow for a delicate and slow extraction of colour and flavour. The wine is then aged for 80% in oak barrels. This wine has a brilliant garnet-red colour, deep and intense with purple highlights. It reveals intense aromas of black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant, enhanced by notes of sweet spices. The palate is full and generous, with fine tannins. The long finish reveals intense notes of black fruit. Serve around 15-17°C.
