This is a complex and elegant example of 100% Carignan/Cariñena wine. It has a big, yet elegant taste with tonnes of minerality and a creamy, luxurious mouthfeel. The wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels. The Grifoll family have been cultivating vines since 1736 and have been producing wine since 1880. The business is still family owned today, with the 5th generation; Pol and Roger Grifoll running the operation. The wine is harvested by hand, undergoes 20 days of maceration and fermentation takes place in oak barrels, using natural yeasts. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is essentially Priorat with added elegance.
