Product Description

Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Fraser Gallop Estate is an Australian winery located in the Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River, a short distance from the coast. The estate, founded by Nigel Gallop in 1999, has approximately 20 hectares of vineyards managed by winemaker Clive Otto. The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from the estate's vineyards, which are situated on well-drained gravel and clay soils with a northerly exposure and cultivated to sustainable viticulture standards. The Chardonnay clone is the Gin-Gin, characterized by low yields, which produces high-quality wines. The harvest is manual, and the fermentation takes place spontaneously in 500l French oak barrels. The finished wine then rests in barrels for 9 months. Palladian Chardonnay is a bright and elegant wine that reveals a clear color with light straw tones and green highlights. Its aromatic profile is broad and fresh with notes of lime and citrus, green apple, and white flowers followed by light hints of flint. On the palate, it is lively and fruity, mineral and lean. It has a good concentration of fruit and a long and balanced finish. It is a harmonious and complex wine that reveals good aging potential but can be enjoyed now paired with a herbed roast chicken or white fish in a lemon butter sauce.
