This 100% Pinot Noir Champagne from the Côte des Bar is rich and supple on the palate with attractive notes of raspberry, cranberry and citrus oils. Three years ageing on the lees – and a further 12 months under cork – has contributed a creamy texture along with hints of honey and baked apple. The village of Les Riceys, in the southern corner of the Côte des Bar, Barséquanais, is home to the largest terroir of Champagne in the region (866ha). The Wenner family's eleven hectares of vines are almost entirely made up of Pinot Noir (97%) with small holdings of Meunier and Chardonnay too. The rolling hillsides of kimmeridgian clay and limestone vineyards create wines of power, elegance and remarkable character.
