Vega Sicilia Unico 2013/15, Ribera del Duero

Spanish red at its best, this is regarded as one of Spain's First Growths. This subtle but elegant wine is crafted in the Ribera del Duero by Vega Sicilia. Established in 1864 it has become synonymous with excellence and considered one of the most prestigious wineries in the world. Unico spends over 10 years maturing in oak and bottle before it's released. It's made predominantly from the grape Tempranillo (also found in Rioja), which is known as Tinto Fino here, as well as a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s full-bodied and rich, with flavours of blackberries, plum, tobacco, and leather. Enjoy with grilled meats and hard cheeses.
