Grape 'Sauvignon' (White)

A late-season and self-fertile variety, Grape 'Sauvignon' (White) originates from France and is extremely vigorous. It bears large green fruits that contain pips and is well-known for producing incredibly elegant dry white wines. Can be grown outside or under protection. The vines will also make a beautiful feature trained over a pergola with their large, lobed leaves that change colour in autumn. Height of cordon trained vine: 1.8m (6'). Spread of cordon trained vine: 1.5m (5'). Untrained plants may reach up to 8m (26'). Estimated time to cropping once planted: 2 years. Estimated time to best yields: 3 years.
