Becker 2016 Heydenreich Spätburgunder Grand Cru dry is a 75cl wine. The vineyard is located in a south-facing area above the VDP.Grosse Gewächs 'Sankt Paul' location, with soil based on a large limestone rock and a low circulation of clayey loamy topsoil. The grapes were carefully selected by hand, destemmed, and fermented on the mash. After three weeks of fermentation in open oak vats, they were gently pressed. The following maturation was for 18 months in small oak barrels, with the filling done without filtration and fining on the wine. This wine has an intense and dense ruby red color, with a wonderful scent of blackberries, cherry, pipe tobacco, vanilla, and bittersweet chocolate. It has strong tannin, a punchy yet elegant taste, and endless play and elegant reverberation. It has great storage potential. The wine is 13.5% vol. in alcohol, with 0.1 g/l residual sugar and 5.9 g/l acidity. It is suitable for both men and women.
