This red wine appellation of Saumur in the central Loire Valley is known for its Cabernet Franc based wines. Appellation laws permit a little Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend, but this is seldom used. A moderately good vintage for the region. Typical blend, Cabernet Franc. The bottle is in good condition, with a good capsule and label, and the wine level is a little below the cork.
