Amongst quite a number of Fleurie's tasted recently, this stood out as an obvious favourite. So pure and precise with lovely red fruit and delicate floral tones - but a surprisingly dense structure. The Les Moriers vineyard straddles the crus of Fleurie, renowned for its prettiness, and Moulin-à-Vent, known for its depth and ruggedness. This wine is truly versatile and should be taken as seriously as the reds of a Pinot persuasion, north of the Beaujolais region. Suitable for both men and women.
