Edmond de Rothschild Haut Medoc Les Granges 2020

Nestled on the edge of the Médoc forest, Listrac is one of the youngest appellations in the region, known for producing powerful wines. Although it lacks classified growths, it has gained recognition for its excellent Crus Bourgeois, with Château Clarke being a notable example. The estate of Les Granges has a rich history. Originally belonging to Cistercian monks in the 12th century, it was later acquired by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who aimed to elevate its reputation. This Merlot-predominant cuvée spends a year ageing in vats and French oak, which reveals vibrant notes of ripe forest fruits and hints of vanilla. It pairs beautifully with grilled meat and cheeses.
