Sierra Cantabria 'XF' Rioja Rosé 2024, Spain

Rioja might be better known for its reds, but its rosés are well worth your time. This light, fresh example from fifth generation family producer Sierra Cantabria was made using grapes from the producer's vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Established back in 1870, Sierra Cantabria is based in the foothills of the mountains of the same name, growing grapes at altitudes of up to 560 metres. Its flagship wines Amancio and La Nieta are consistently among the most critically acclaimed in the region. Skin contact for 72 hours helped to develop this rosé's delicate colour and cool fermentation with specially selected yeast helped to lock in its abundant red fruit flavours. Expect fragrant aromas of raspberries and pomegranates, with fresh minerality and crisp acidity.
