Becker 2019 Schweigener Spätburgunder QbA dry, 75cL Wine, 13.5% ABV, DryBy Winebuyers

1 x 75cl Becker 2019 Schweigener Spätburgunder QbA dry wine. The vineyards are located around Schweigen on the French and German side, with limestone soil and vines aged between 29 and 54 years. The grapes were carefully selected by hand, destemmed, and fermented separately from the mash. After two to three weeks of fermentation in open oak casks, they were gently pressed. The further maturation took place for 36 months in small oak barrels called barrique. The wine is bottled without filtration in September 2022. It has a pleasant, clear ruby red colour with dark reflections. The nose offers flavours of blackberries, tobacco, spices, and vanilla notes. On the palate, it is dense and elegant with good length and structure. Suitable for drinking at 14-16°C. This wine has an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., residual sugar of 0.1 g/l, and acidity of 6.1 g/l. It is a unisex wine, packaged in a 75cl bottle.
