Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Founded in the village of Sadmeli, in Georgia's Racha-Lechkhumi region in 2018, the family-run Naberauli Winery produces a wide range of traditional wines from indigenous grapes, fully respecting the country's long winemaking history while combining modern winemaking techniques. This delicious dry orange wine is made from locally sourced Rachuli Mtsvane grapes, a native grape variety from the Racha region. After harvest, the grapes are fermented on the skins (but without the stems) at a controlled temperature in qvevri (traditional clay amphorae, vestiges of Georgia's ancient winemaking history) for six months. The finished wine then ages in stainless steel for six months before bottling. The Naberauli Rachuli Mtsvane has a brilliant color with deep golden hues and a broad, captivating aromatic profile revealing notes of ripe yellow fruit, spices, herbs, and tea leaves. On the palate, it has a medium body and a refreshing acidity. It is soft, rounded, and velvety with a pronounced tannic texture and a long, concentrated finish. Try it if you've never tasted an orange wine before and want to explore this wine style, or enjoy it with Asian or Middle Eastern dishes.
