Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it an hour before service. The Georgian winery Château Buera was founded in 2018 in the Napareuli winemaking microzone. The estate, owned by the family of founder Goga Maisuradze, boasts approximately 5 hectares of land where local grape varieties are grown for the production of premium wines. The Rkatsiteli grapes, one of the most widespread and famous indigenous Georgian varieties, are harvested by hand and selected from the company's vineyards located in the Kakheti region. After traditional vinification in qvevri clay amphorae with maceration on the skins, the wine ages for approximately two years (one in barrel and one in bottle) before being released to the market. Production, like most of the winery's wines, is limited. The Rkatsiteli Reserve from Chateau Buera is an expressive wine that reveals a deep amber color in the glass. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant with notes of yellow fruit (especially plum, pear), hints of citrus and fennel, and some light woody nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rounded, balanced and fresh with a lively acidity and a long finish that recalls gentle oaky notes. Try it with chicken stew, frogs' legs, and Middle Eastern cuisine.
