Poppy 'Pizzicato'

A semi-dwarf oriental poppy, Poppy ‘Pizzicato’ won’t flop over its neighbours and is more weather-resistant than its taller cousins. Despite its small stature, it still boasts large, ruffled blooms up to 15cm across, each plant carrying up to 20 sturdy flower stems. The flowers span a wide colour range with shades of white, pink, scarlet, salmon, orange and mauve all marked with a signature dark blotch at the base of the petals. With their distinctive silky blooms, oriental poppies launch onto the late spring and early summer scene with a flamboyant burst of colour. The decorative seed pods continue to provide interest long after the flowers have faded.  Fleuroselect Gold Medal Winner. Height and Spread: 50cm (20in).
