"Mrs Beeton's Sweets and Gateaux" Mrs. Beeton's Book of Household Management is an extensive guide to running a household in Victorian Britain, edited by Isabella Beeton and first published as a book in 1861. This wonderful illustration shows her sweets and gateaux: Éclair, Assorted Pastry, Sponge Savoy Cake, Gâteaux St. Honoré, Simnel Cake, Pancakes, Pyramid Cream, and Croquettes of Rice from the 1923 edition.
