Isole e Olena ‘Cepparello’ 2019/20, Tuscany

Paolo de Marchi is one of Italy's greatest winemakers. And this is his flagship wine. It's made from two conjoined estates ‘Isole’ and ‘Olena’ that date back hundreds of years. Because they're at a higher altitude than many other Chianti Classico vineyards, you'll notice a distinct light and elegant nature in this wine. a superb Super Tuscan made from 100% Sangiovese. Expect flavours of ripe red fruits and spices, soft tannins, a refreshing acidity and a very long finish. Try it with grilled beef or a hearty stew.
