Salvia 'Melba Magic? 'Strawberry'

Salvias are renowned for pumping out flowers from May right through to October and 'Strawberry Melba' is no exception, rewarding with masses of blooms, drawing in bees and other pollinators in droves. Unlike some other ‘hotter’ varieties, its bicoloured purple to pale pink flowers are easy to place, and the bushy compact plants work beautifully at the front of borders or in patio containers.This drought tolerant perennial is easy-care and reliably hardy in all but the coldest areas – just give it a sunny, well drained position and leave the top growth for winter protection before pruning in spring. Keep dead-heading and feeding and its flowering performance will be gobsmacking! Ultimate height: 45cm (18in). Ultimate spread: 60cm (24in).
