Salvias are renowned for pumping out flowers from May right through to October and this Melba Duo is no exception, rewarding with masses of blooms, drawing in bees and other pollinators in droves. Unlike some other ‘hotter’ varieties, their fruity colours are easy to place, and the bushy compact plants work beautifully at the front of borders or in patio containers.These drought tolerant perennials are easy-care and reliably hardy in all but the coldest areas – just give them a sunny, well drained position and leave their top growth for winter protection before pruning them in spring.
