Pomegranate 'Provence'

A symbol of fertility, abundance and marriage in Armenia, pomegranates are also used heavily in middle-eastern cooking, mixing in its juicy, sweet inner seeds into salads or hummus as a pop of texture and flavour, or use it?s flesh in desserts and other savoury dishes. Pomegranate ?Provence? is a self-fertile and multi-stemmed fruit tree that produces it?s incredible brown-red fruits in October and November ready for harvesting. Surprisingly hardy and growable in the UK, as it tolerates temperatures down to -15c, particularly when grown in sheltered conditions. Grow in a large container for easy transporting in the cold winter months, to warmer spots in the garden. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 1.5m (5').
