São Francisco River Canyon - Xingó

The Xingó Canyon is a marvel formed by the damming of the waters of the São Francisco River for the construction of the Xingó Hydroelectric Plant, inaugurated in 1994. This union created a stunning setting, where the sacred waters of the São Francisco River meet imposing rock walls . The adventure starts early, at 6:30 am, with departure from the hotels towards the pier to board the Catamaran Rei do Cangaço or Delmiro Gouveia. Accompanied by an experienced local guide, we will have the opportunity to dive into the crystal clear waters of Velho Chico and explore the paradisiacal "Gruta do Talhado". After exploring this place where "the hinterland became the sea", our tour comes to an end and we return to the hotel, arriving at 7:00 pm.
