Berberis thunbergii 'Golden Carpet' has a big impact for such a small shrub! In the spring, pink-tinged flowers nestle among the golden yellow foliage, followed by bright scarlet-tinged berries. This vibrant deciduous shrub is at its best in the autumn, when it turns a brilliant orange. It has a compact habit that keeps it neat and manageable, reaching only 90 cm (36 inches) high. This dwarf barberry is ideal for bringing a bright splash of colour to the centre of borders and rockeries. Height and spread: 90 cm (36).
