Petrorhagia saxifraga

A haze of delicate white to pale pink flowers bloom for months on this fuss-free alpine. Petrorhagia saxifraga forms low, dense mats of fine green foliage that stays evergreen in milder areas, forming a neat carpet that spreads gently over time. In late spring, white to pale pink flowers rise on slender stems, continuing through to late summer.This hardy alpine thrives in poor soils and needs little care, making it a reliable choice for rockeries, tucking into paving, cascading over walls and steps or clothing green roofs.
