Everbuild Black Jack Roofing Felt Adhesive in a 1 litre tin is a cold-applied, black, oxidised bitumen adhesive formulated for bonding roofing felt to a range of common substrates. The adhesive produces a tough, flexible film that accommodates thermal movement and maintains adhesion across seasonal temperature change.It provides strong bonding performance on concrete, asphalt, metal, wood and existing felt, creating a consistent seal for lap joints and full-coverage bonding layers. Its resistance to dilute acids, alkalis, salt solutions, water and alcohol supports reliable performance in exposed roofing conditions, enhancing the durability of built-up felt systems.The adhesive is also suitable for use as a cold-gritting solution, enabling the application of chippings to the final felt layer for UV protection and surface durability. Designed for brush or mop application, it develops full tack within 15-30 minutes depending on ambient drying conditions, ensuring predictable laying characteristics on site.Stored correctly and applied in accordance with BS 8217 felt-laying principles, the adhesive supports long-term weathering performance and provides consistent results across multiple roof types.
