Keep moisture at bay and extend the life of your brickwork with this StoneCare4U Essential Brick Waterproofer. This waterproofer comes with synthetic resins that seal and protect brick surfaces. It is a high-performance deep-penetrating masonry cream that offers excellent water repellency. Also, it forms a strong barrier against damp penetration that can last up to 20 years. This masonry sealer cream is far more effective and lasts longer than regular water paints and coatings. Suitable for use on brickwork, stonework and most forms of unprotected masonry, it helps retain the original 'dry' appearance of the substrate. Plus, it provides long-lasting protection from water penetration and dampness in masonry and brickwork. It does so by filling in the porous voids within the substrate without blocking them. This means the surface can still breathe and release any trapped moisture. Providing an effective barrier to flooding, this easy-to-apply formula can also certainly produce energy savings via increased thermal efficiency of the property. Older properties can particularly suffer from penetrating dampness, which can be quite expensive to fix, especially if it is left untreated. Thus, this specially formulated waterproofer helps prevent penetrating dampness on unpainted brickwork and masonry in a hassle-free way. How to apply: Remove any loose debris from the work surface before you start and ensure adequate safety wear, i.e. gloves, suitable protective eyewear, face mask and clothing. Minimum application temperature: 10°C. It is recommended to perform a small test application on-site in an inconspicuous area prior to use. This will indicate the suitability and effectiveness of the product for your surface. Also, please make sure that before application, the surface must be completely clean and dry. Application methods include a low-pressure sprayer, roller or natural fibre brushes. Apply the cream generously. Normally one coat is needed to ensure complete coverage. Moreover, it may be necessary to apply a second coat on more porous substrates. Do not dilute the product. Typically, you can expect the surface to be dry after 30-90 minutes. However, make sure you apply it when rain is not forecast for the next 24 hours. Please note: Essential Brick Waterproofer has been formulated to be colourless once cured. When it is applied to some substrates, slight darkening may occur - always perform a test first. Surfaces that are not to be sealed should be protected with masking material.
