Bartoline Bitumen Paint Black 1L Bitcote Black Bitumen Paint is made from carefully selected Bitumens dissolved in special petroleum solvents. It provides an outstanding anti-corrosive solution for brush application on a wide range of materials, especially iron and steel. It combines easy and economical application giving anti-rust, waterproofing, flexible and durable properties. Touch dry in approximately 4-8 hours at normal temperatures with a glossy finish turning dull after a period of time due to climatic and atmospheric conditions. COVERAGE 1 litre of Bitcote is sufficient to cover an area of approximately 10 square meters, depending on porosity. DIRECTIONS As with all surface coatings preparation is of great importance and will influence the degree of adhesion obtained and the life of the coating. All surfaces must be sound, stable and thoroughly clean and dry. Metal surfaces should be wire brushed to remove rust. Where long term protection is required an initial treatment of a rust-inhibitive product should be used. Apply by brush or spray. A minimum of two coats of Bitcote should be applied, the first being allowed to dry before the second. Apply the second coat at right angles to the first. Clean application tools with Bartoline White Spirit. NOTE: THIN WITH NO MORE THAN 10% BARTOLINE WHITE SPIRIT FOR SPRAYING. DO NOT APPLY ORDINARY PAINTS OVER BITCOTE.DO NOT APPLY WHERE MINERAL OILS OR SOLVENTS WILL COME INTO CONTACT.DO NOT USE IF SURFACE TEMPERATURE CAN RISE ABOVE 70°C. DO NOT USE ON TARMACADAM DRIVES, ROADWAYS etc.
