Bartoline Patent Knotting 500ml Patent Knotting is a quick drying solution for sealing knots and resinous areas of bare timber, prior to the application of paints, waxes or polishes. Preparation: Ensure that the wood to be treated is thoroughly clean and dry. Remove excess resinous matter or loose particles. Shake container well before use. Application: Apply 1-2 liberal coats using a brush, or lint free cloth. Allow to dry between coats. Touch dry in 5-10 minutes. Can be re-coated after 30 minutes under normal conditions. When the treated area is to be over-coated with a water-based coating system, apply the knotting solution more sparingly, and once dry lightly abrade the surface to provide a key before over-coating. After Care: Replace lid firmly after use. Store away from heat and flames. Clean all tools and application equipment with Methylated Spirit and rinse thoroughly.
