Tetrosyl Protex Floor Paint Grey 5L

Tetrosyl Protex Floor Paint protects and coats most solid interior surfaces including concrete, brick, stone, wood, lino, and floor tiles. Protex provides a tough finish, which resists foot and vehicle wear, oil, grease and detergents. It is quick drying and gives a decorative gloss finish that is easy to maintain. To provide slip resistant properties add 10% (approximately 500g) of a Safe Grip Additive. Safe Grip measurements can be altered to suit individual requirements. Preparation and Priming: Ensure that the surface to be painted is dry, clean and free from wax, dust and loose materials. Oil and grease should be removed from concrete floors by using an oil and grease removing product such as White Spirit, avoiding excess moisture. Concrete surfaces must be dry and at least four weeks old before applying paint. To ensure the surface is free of any contaminants and any previous coatings, clean concrete and stone surfaces and then thoroughly wash off and allow to dry. It is recommended to test the product on a trial area first to ensure adhesion and compatibility with previous coatings. Seal very porous surfaces with a Floor Sealer or with a mixture of four parts Tetrosyl Protex Floor Paint to one part White Spirit. Leave until completely dry. Application & Drying Times: Carefully stir paint thoroughly before use (A Safe Grip Additive can be added at this stage). If a Safe Grip Additive is used stir frequently to prevent settling. Apply with a brush or roller (pile type recommended). The first coat will take approximately 3 to 4 hours to dry at 20°C (68° F). A second coat can be applied if required after 12 hours under normal drying conditions. Recoating should take place within 48 hours. Ensure that the paint is completely dry before putting the area to use. Coverage: Up to 15 square metres per litre depending on surface texture, porosity and method of application. More paint will be needed on porous and/or uneven surfaces. Storage: Store upright in cool, dry conditions away from direct sunlight. This product is to be stored in a suitable flammable protection store. Caution: More than one coat may result in a slippery surface. It is recommended to use 10% (approximately 500g) of a Safe Grip Slip Resistant Additive for areas where safety is important. Protex Floor Paint is not recommended for use on asphalt, P.V.C, thermoplastic tiles or non-porous surfaces, e.g. glazed tiles, power floated concrete and granolithic floors. If it is to be used on a power floated concrete floor, it will require acid etching or vacuum grit blasting to provide a key. Do not use externally, e.g. carports and drives.
