Thorndown Grey Stain Blocking Primer 2.5L

Achieve a stunning finish on your timber projects with Thorndown Grey Stain Blocking Primer. This water-based primer is a high performer, expertly designed to prevent tannins and stains from penetrating timber surfaces. It effectively blocks resin bleed and sap stains, ensuring a flawless base for subsequent coats. Ideal for use with Thorndown's UV clear and translucent wood tones, and semi-opaque colours such as Golden Somer, Rowan Berry Red and Sundowner Orange. Suitable for all untreated softwoods and hardwoods, including pine, cedar, redwood, plywood, MDF and hardboard, this low-VOC primer is perfect for interior and exterior applications. Enjoy quick drying times - approximately one hour in good weather - with typically only one coat required. For extra protection on particularly resinous or knotty woods prone to tannin bleed, a second coat is recommended. Available in a convenient 2.5L pack.
