Jackson's Gesso Primer Is Excellent For Use On A Range Of Surfaces, Including Canvas, Wood, Or Board. It Can Be Used As A Ground For Oil Paints, Acrylics, Or Mixed-media Work. Gesso Is Used To Ensure Artworks Remain Stable, Permanent, And Long-lasting. It Is Made From Acrylic Resin, With A High Pigment Strength To Provide The Best Coverage. Typically Used Straight From The Tub, It Can Be Applied With A Flat Priming Brush Or Roller. Two Or Three Coats Of Gesso Is Advised For Best Results. Jackson's Gesso Dries To A Flexible Film With A Slight Tooth. It Can Also Be Sanded To Produce A Smooth, Silky Finish. We Recommended Leaving The Surface To Dry For At Least 2 Hours Before Applying A Second Coat. The Surface Will Be ready-to-use In Approx. 24 Hours.
