Rockwool Ablative Coating Liquid supplied in 5L tubs. Water-based, ready-to-use ablative coating designed to enhance the fire-resistant properties of Rockwool stone wool products. When applied to the surface of Rockwool FireStop or Ablative Coated Batts, the coating forms a protective char that resists flame spread and insulates the underlying mineral wool core under fire exposure. The coating dries to a flexible white surface finish, creating a stable and durable barrier that improves fire integrity while maintaining ease of application. It can be brush or spray applied directly on-site and provides an excellent substrate for compatible adhesives and fixing sealants. Available in white as standard, the coating ensures effective fire protection and a uniform finish across large surface areas.
