This type of coupling has a ring seal push fit socket on each end to connect to a plain ended pipes or to the spigot (plain end) of another fitting. It can also be used as a slip coupling - simply knock out the central lugs with a flat bladed screwdriver and you will be able to slide the coupling back and forth along the pipe. To install any pipe or fitting into another ring seal fitting, first make sure the end of the pipe has been chamfered. Clean off any dirt or debris and lubricate the joint with silicon lubricant. Push the pipe in squarely until resistance is felt, then withdraw it very slightly to allow for any potential system expansion.
