It was developed to secure engine covers and hatches. The styling and flush fit of the AeroCatch 2 eliminated trip hazards on deck and provided the panel security required to meet the demands of this extreme application. Later the AeroCatch2 followed its fellow AeroCatches and has now become widely used in motorsport applications.There are two types of AeroCatch2 available; 'Above Panel (formerly called Plus Flush) and 'Below Panel' (formerly called Flush).Above Panel Kit (220 Series) is designed to be fixed through the top surface of a panel with six M4 countersunk screws. The fitting flange will be 2.5mm above the panel surface. Ideal for thin metallic or composite panels.Below Panel Kit (225 Series) is designed to be fixed from underneath the panel thereby creating a flush surface and can be bonded into position so that there are no fasteners visible from the top of the panel. Ideally suited for composite panels.
