It is only used for keeping units in place, and does not include a lift function. The locking foot is usually installed on the bottom of a unit next to a castor, or right in the middle between two castors. The distance between the top edge of the base plate and the floor should be 245 mm. When the foot lever is actuated, the height of the unit changes, placing the rubber element in contact with the floor. A compressive force of 125 daN then keeps the unit in place on the floor.
