Assists in removing excess paint from the bristles. Clean brushes last longer and perform better but swishing back and forth, is not always sufficient to remove paint trapped at the base of the bristles. With the cleaning screen, brushes can be scrubbed back and forth to help remove and prevent deeply embedded paint build up. The vinyl coating is impervious to thinner, yet protects art brushes.
